Creating Projectors

DrawXtra 1.6 cast members are certified to operate under Windows 95, 98, NT 4 and 2000, and also under MacOS 7.5 or greater, with PowerPC or 68K processors.

You should create a Director Projector suitable for the target machine, and include the appropriate DrawXtra file for each target operational system inside a directory/folder named "XTRAS" that goes alongside your Projector.

Windows 95, 98, NT 4 - DrawXtra.x32
Macintosh - DrawXtra

The Xtra is automatically included in the Projector if your first movie contains a DrawXtra cast member. We usually do not recommend including the Xtra with the Projector, since it will have to be decompressed later at the user system. To disable this feature in Director 6 or later please uncheck the "Check Movie for Xtras" option in the CREATE PROJECTOR dialog box.

The final structure of files should look like the ones below:

Windows 95, NT
Projector - C:\myproj\proj.exe
Xtra file - C:\myproj\Xtras\DrawXtra.x32

Macintosh
Projector - MyHD:Projector
Xtra file - MyHD:Xtras:DrawXtra
