Cross-Platform You can use ShapeShifter 3D on computers running Windows or the MacOS, without purchasing additional copies of the software. The user interface is the same, and files created on one platform can be read on another with no conversion necessary.
Optimized for Low Polygon ShapeShifter 3D is optimized to work with models created for realtime applications, using between 100 and 5000 faces.
Texturing Textures can be imported and applied to objects. ShapeShifter 3D supports all image formats supported by Director, with an integrated editor for UV texture coordinates mapping.
Import 3D Objects from Other Applications ShapeShifter 3D can import most objects created in other 3D programs and saved in the OBJ or ASC format. Consult the Online Help for more information about importing external files.
Complete Integratation with Director ShapeShifter 3D is available from inside Director. Just select the ShapeShifter 3D item in the XTRAS menu to start creating your models from within the Director environment.Think of it as your integrated 3D editor window: if you are using Director MX 2004 you can even dock the ShapeShifter 3D window with the standard Director tools and panels.
Skeleton Creation A bones structure can be created entirely in ShapeShifter 3D and linked to your model. The skeleton can be exported to Shockwave 3D and it can be used with the bonesplayer modifier for interactive animation of your models.
