Shockwave-Safe
and Downloadable
Audio Xtra will automatically install itself if it is not already present on the end-user's system.
Support for Various
Bit and Sampling Rates
Audio Xtra includes support for 8 or 16-bit recording and 11kHz through 48kHz sampling rates (all of these are available if the input device supports it).
Asynchronous Playback Audio Xtra records and plays back sound asynchronously, meaning that animation, Lingo scripts and anything else in Director can run while a sound is being recorded
Customizable Waveform Display Sounds on the playlist can plotted as graphic waveforms.The colorscheme, size and granularity of the plot graphic are fully customizeable.
Export to Various
File Formats
Audio Xtra initially records to WAV files on the PC and AIFF files on the Mac. After recording, it can convert recorded sound to AIFF, WAVE or AU format on either platform.
Supports Multiple Input Devices Version 5 of Audio Xtra features supports for multiple sound cards and other input devices (like USB microphones) present on the user system.
Compatible
with USB Mics
USB microphones and WebCams can be used with Audio Xtra if they are supported by the system. Selection of input devices is easy and transparent to the user.
Compatible

USB and even Firewire WebCams (including Apple ISight) are supported in Audio Xtra 5.
